ICC World T20 2014-Schedule, Fixtures -Updates

The 5th edition of ICC World Twenty20 will be played in Bangladesh from March 21-April 6 2014.

For the first time in the history of event there will be 16 teams in the competition including ten full members and six associate members who qualified through World T20 Qualifier last year. The top eight teams in ICC T20 rankings have been given direct entry to the Super 10 stage while remaining eight teams will compete in the group stage. Two top teams from the group stage will progress to the Super 10.

In Super 10 stage, ten teams have been divided into two groups of five each. The two teams, from each group with highest points will advance to the semi-finals.

A total of 16 warm-up matches will be played including eight before the first round and as many during the lead up to Super 10 stage.

Pakistan will take on New Zealand in their first warm-up game on March 17 in Mirpur before facing South Africa a day later in Dhaka.

Pakistan will start their ICC World Twenty20 campaign against arch-rival India in Mirpur on March 21.
